I’m Alex. A multi-disciplinary graphic designer based in Northern Ireland.
I collaborate with clients and suppliers to produce brand identities, publications, posters, packaging, signs and digital media. Joining the dots between business and aesthetics. I aim to solve problems, improve experiences and add commercial value. I have a (BA) Honours in Design for Visual Communication from Ulster University and over five years practical experience.
Since graduating in 2011 I’ve been fortunate enough to work on some great projects with businesses and individuals such as Ulster University, Aecor Marine, Ulster Festival of Art & Design, White Cloud Photographic, Serious Distribution, Clearsky Brewing, Prime Cut Productions, Slemish Market Garden, Belfast Photo Factory, Springwell & Thomas, Collectiviste, Clockwork Clothing.
In order to create a useful design, we must first find its purpose. What problem are we trying to solve? Next we need to figure out the best approach or strategy. How are we going to do it? Once we know the problem, and the solution, then we can begin to produce and implement a successful outcome. For me it’s really about meaningful communication, not arbitrary decoration.
